In Fortnite, dances and emotes are some of the most recognizable features that players genuinely enjoy. Some rare emotes and moves get everybody moving, allowing the game to bleed into real life. If you're wondering what the rarest Emotes are, here's a list.

Top 50 Rarest Emotes in Fortnite (excluding holiday emotes)
Tackling a battle royale match with enemies lurking at every nook and corner is already stressful. But, all that sweat finally pays off when you eliminate enemies. There is no greater joy in Fortnite than emoting a player right after eliminating them. This becomes much more entertaining in trios and squad modes, as you can carry downed opponents to a safe location and emote near them.
Iconic emotes like Headbanger, Kiss the Cup, It's Complicated, Welcome!, Hot Marat, Vivacious, Tidy, Widow’s Pirouette, Go Mufasa, Breezy, Fresh, Zombie Shambles, Sweaty Rotation, Lazer Blast, and Rawr are some of the most popular emotes players use after eliminating opponents. If you have the rare emotes in the locker, equip them before heading into a match.
Here's our list of the top 50 rarest Emotes in the game including the last time these were seen in the Item Shop. This is the best method to at least put some logic behind figuring out which dance is the rarest. No official numbers are released on cosmetics purchases so any list will be compiled purely on speculation and anecdotal evidence. You will notice a theme with most of these which is being rated relatively low. That's a good indicator of why you haven't seen them in the shop that often. Epic often places cosmetics into the Item Shop if they sell well. Items that don't sell well rarely return to the shop!
This page is a day behind the item shop refresh. If you see anything on this list two days after appearing on the Item Shop, please leave a comment.
Top 50 Rarest Emotes in Fortnite (including holiday emotes)
The rarest Fortnite emotes are fickle, especially when you consider holiday emotes that only appear at certain times of the year. Yet some of these Holiday emotes don't appear as often as you think. In this list, nothing is excluded, apart from things that will never return to the item shop.
Be aware this page runs slightly behind the in-game shop. Check back tomorrow if something looks off!
