How to go to the city’s highest point in Genshin Impact – They Once Walked the Starry Sky

They Once Walked the Starry Sky is a Genshin Impact World Quest set in Simulanka. In this quest, you must get to the city's highest point by helping toy soldiers inside the castle. Rather than scaling the castle, follow the instructions below to get to the top.

Go to the city's highest point puzzle solution in Genshin Impact

Start by following the quest navigator up the stairs, which will lead you to the inside of the castle. Once inside, you will enter a small room with fallen toy soldiers. You need to interact with the soldiers on the ground by selecting the dialogue that says "This is a bit odd..."

Doing so will trigger enemies to spawn. Defeat them and claim the Chest reward, then proceed onward.

Your path will be blocked by a locked gate. To get past it, you need to talk to the toy soldier, who will respond in speech bubbles. Since there is no actual dialogue sequence, you need to be patient and wait for it to finish talking. You need to speak to it twice, with the following responses:

• What happened?
• Leave it to me!

After, the gate will open, leading up to a staircase full of enemies. Defeat all the enemies and claim your Chest reward, then proceed onward.

When you enter the corridor, turn left to get to the balcony, where more enemies await. Defeat all the enemies to rescue the toy soldier.

After defeating the enemies, speak to the toy soldier to obtain a Chest reward. Once done, speak to it again twice to ask about the Stars and Gears.

Next, return to the corridor and enter the door up ahead, which should lead you to a staircase. Go up the stairs to encounter another set of toy soldiers. Speak to the toy soldier to ask what happened, then speak to it a second time to "leave it to me!"

Defeat the enemies up ahead, then interact with the two toy soldiers guarding the star to obtain it.

This part is optional, as you only need the stars to get to the top of the tower. However, I suggest heading to the pond up ahead and defeating the Hilichurls, then speaking to the toy soldier to trigger a Paper Frog Choir challenge, as it offers a reward.

Otherwise, go back to the position of the two guards that gave you the star, then go up the stairs directly beside them. At the top of the staircase, defeat all the Hilichurls.

You will find three toy soldiers stuck on the wall. You need to free the two on the left first.

You need to wait for the two freed soldiers to approach the last soldier stuck on the biggest goop on the wall. Once both of them are close, the dialogue will change to allow all three of you to pull the last soldier out together. After pulling out the soldier, speak to them to get the star and loot the Chest.

The gate will open and reveal a manual elevator. Step on the elevator and attack the device using Normal Attacks multiple times until it gets to the highest point in the building. From there, simply head toward the glowing spot to continue with the quest.
