After waking in a mysterious dungeon and being rescued, you'll be able to pull characters from banners to add to your team as you adventure through the game world. Although you'll be able to train up your squad, each character in Sword of Convallaria has their own unique skills. This Sword of Convallaria tier list will ensure you don't waste your time on unskilled characters when playing.
Sword of Convallaria Tier List - All Sword of Convallaria characters, ranked
At first glance, there are significantly more characters than those you'll see listed in the Sword of Convallaria character tier list below. This is because there are a number of rare and common characters that act as additional squad members. They don't have actual names (just titles), and will never appear as the main character of any banner.
For example, you may pull characters like "Outlaw Axeman" and "Crimson Falcon." In the grand scheme of things, these kinds of characters are just foot soldiers. There's no point spending your time or effort ranking them up unless you really want to.
Tier | Character |
---|---|
S | Beryl, Col, Dantalion, Gloria, Inanna. |
A | Alexei, LilyWill, Magnus, Momo, NonoWill, Nungal. |
B | Faycal, Garcia, Maitha, Rawiyah, Samantha. |
C | Guzman, Iggy, Leonide, Miguel. |
D | Nergal, Teadon, Xavier. |
Best characters in Sword of Convallaria - S-Tier characters
There are five characters in Sword of Convallaria that I consider S-Tier. They're the best of the best, offering a comprehensive skill set, buffs and debuffs, and Auras that will help you ensure your victory over your opponents.
Beryl
Beryl is an absolute powerhouse in Sword of Convallaria and easily ranks as an S-Tier character. This quirky little Sorceress has magic damage output that is through the roof, making her a force to be reckoned with in any battle.
With her wide attack range and devastating AoE spells, Beryl can wipe out enemies in a flash, all while providing solid support to her team. She has a versatile skill set that includes health and energy recovery, adding to her utility and making her indispensable in various team compositions.
If you're looking to dominate with massive damage and still have the flexibility for support, Beryl is definitely worth investing your time into ranking up.
Col
Col's mobility is unmatched, allowing her to jump around the battlefield and navigate tricky terrain effortlessly. When she's on her own, Col becomes even deadlier with a nice 5% boost to Crit and P.ATK, making her a formidable lone wolf to have in your squad in case the rest of your characters die.
Her ability to turn invisible, combined with health recovery, ensures she stays in the fight longer, while her aura skill gives significant attack bonuses to allies, adding great team utility. Col's assassination skills let her slip behind enemies, take them out swiftly, and then move again in the same turn.
With her strong self-healing and evasion skills, she can survive tough encounters and continue dishing out damage. If you're looking to add a sneaky, high-damage rogue to your team, Col is definitely worth ranking up. At the time of writing - August 5, 2024 - Col is also on a banner for Sword of Convallaria, so you have a chance to get her for your team.
Dantalion
Dantalion easily earns his S-Tier status with his blend of physical and magic damage, wide attack range, and versatile offensive skills. As the eldest prince of Iria, he’s not just a ruler but a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. His defense is top-notch, boasting health recovery, reduced melee damage, and resistance to debuffs, making him incredibly hard to take down.
Dantalion's Iria Aura not only boosts his allies' attack but also debuffs enemies, adding a strategic edge to any fight. His crowd control abilities, with strong AoEs, ensure that he can handle multiple foes at once. Plus, he synergizes beautifully with many other characters, making him a core addition to any team. For tough battles where you need a reliable DPS unit, Dantalion’s defensive and offensive buffs ensure he gets stronger as the fight goes on. If you’re looking to dominate in Sword of Convallaria, investing in Dantalion is a smart move.
Gloria
Armed with the Lance of Longinus, Gloria has exceptional offense and defense. Her multiple AoE damage skills can devastate groups of enemies, while her defensive abilities reduce frontal damage and even grant damage immunity, keeping her safe in the thick of battle.
Gloria's Flag Waving aura is a game-changer, boosting attack, defense, and movement speed for her allies right from the start, without compromising her own damage output. She transitions smoothly from AoE attacks to powerful single-target strikes as the battle progresses, making her incredibly versatile.
If you need a strong DPS or a reliable support character, Gloria fits perfectly into various team compositions, especially those from The Union of The Knight States.
Inanna
Inanna is, without a doubt, the best support character in Sword of Convallaria. Inanna excels in both single-target and group healing, can dispel debuffs, and provides passive healing buffs, keeping your team alive and kicking.
Her high magic resistance and skill to reduce single-target damage make her surprisingly durable. What really sets her apart is her ability to summon personal guards to block attacks and her unique re-action mechanism, giving your team an extra layer of defense. Inanna can even grant allies an extra turn, making her invaluable if you find yourself in a tight spot. If you manage to roll her from a banner, you'll find that she fits perfectly into any team composition and becomes a mainstay in your party.
Unfortunately, you don't start your game with any of these amazing characters. You do, however, start with B-Tier Maitha and Faycal. Until you manage to pull an S-Tier Sword of Convallaria character from a banner, putting a bit of time into Maitha and Faycal won't be a bad thing.
